Famous Last Words: Week 10

After writing so many of these, I have begun to feel that this assignment has turned into a bit of a venting assignment (out-loud laughter). But I think that this attitude is within the parameters of the course, since we often are asked to present our opinions in this class. It has become sort of an overall attitude with this class and I have really appreciated this approach of the course. Nevertheless, this has been a pretty productive week for me. Earlier in the week, I officially signed up for the last courses that I will ever take at the University of Oklahoma before moving on to medical school. Obviously, this was bittersweet. This has been my home for the longest time and it is always sort of sad to do something for the LAST time ever. But I am excited to start another chapter in my life and finally graduate! Plus, I will try my best to return when I get the chance for football games or other occasions. Okay, let’s be real, FOOTBALL GAMES! But anyway, that was exciting. In addition, we are past the halfway mark in the semester and it’s good to see the weather is getting a little colder. This sounds like I hate the outdoors. But, in fact, I am just needing the outdoors to be less inviting/enticing so that I can partake in the buckling down that this time of the semester demands. In addition, I am confident that I do my best writing in cold weather. I don’t know why. There’s something about the wintery ambiance that brings out my creativity. More particularly, the gloomy fall really does it for me when I am trying to read and write. This is sort of oxymoronic with respect to creativity. Nevertheless, I am hopefull that this trend will translate for this class. Thus, I am going to grab a warm drink, sit by a nice cool window and start banging away at the keyboard for the next month or so. In this season, I can be confident that I will finish the course strong.
