I hope we are all getting back from Thanksgiving break a few pounds richer, so I won’t feel so bad. Also, I hope everyone is coming back feeling refreshed. I think that this break is very pivotal during a fall semester. The weather is changing and it’s a weird transition to make, so a little break helps to get ready for finals. I did quite a bit of studying over the break, however, I did not let it get in the way of spending plenty of time with my family. In addition, I completed quite a bit of extra credit for this course, which I always enjoy doing. At my parents’ house back in Tulsa, I tucked myself away in my favorite place to do writing, watched the leaves fall (maybe stole a slice of pie!) and began working on my writing. With all the time spent writing and spending time with family, I hardly had time to even think about my medical school interview in San Francisco, but I did visit for a day and a half prior to the break starting and it went well. To begin, I had an amazing interview at Samuel Merritt’s School of Medicine. But it was very warm there, which didn’t really put me in the Thanksgiving spirit. However, since I have come back to Oklahoma, I have traveled back to Tulsa to visit with my family for the holiday. Thus, I will try to have a good time with my folks while I am here, but I will also be completing a lot of writing while I am here. I only have a few points left to end up where I need to be to maintain my scholarship, but I want to finish my second story for sure. I am certain that I will be tucked away in my favorite childhood place to do my writing. I would say exactly where it’s at but it’s a secret!! Further, I am sure that I will be doing my revision for my second story (if you haven’t checked it out go and do that!). First thing is first, BOOMER SOONER! This weekend hosted an awesome game and hopefully we are back in the playoff picture. Now that that is out of the way, I wanted to make it known that I have officially posted another story, so I hope everyone gets the chance to read it and possibly leave some constructive criticism. If you read my last story, hopefully that will make it more enticing and if you hated my last story, then show some love and help me make this one better!! Anyway, this has been quite an eventful week. In the last week, I have gotten 4 medical school interview offers. So that is obviously exciting. However, all of the offers are out of state. This means that I have a lot of work to do with planning out my traveling. I’ll be going to both coasts, San Francisco and Philadelphia. In addition, I will be headed up the Midwest to Des Moines and then to the Great Lakes in Ohio. While, I have to all of these states, I have never been to cities before. So, it should be a lot o...
