Tech Tip: Twitter Follow

Image
I have just made my fist follow thanks to this tech tip. It was very easy and I think that I am about to go and follow a bunch more profiles. Moreover, I have decided to follow Professor Gibbs so that I can stay updated on the class and see all of the really interring things that I have had to otherwise see through canvas. #timeefficiency                                                                                                                                Twitter Follow Icon

Tech Tip: First Tweet

Image
I just created a new twitter since I did not have one before. I look forward to using it to stay connected and be informed. I am really excited to start following people and putting information out there myself! Further, I have hash tagged this course and tweeted at Professor Gibbs.                                                                                                                                  Twitter Logo

Tech Tip: Google Timer

Image
I plan to start using the Google Timer. I usually try to take breaks while writing long paper or studying for lengthy period of time, but I usually have anxiety about taking too much or not enough time. However, I am sure google timer will help me to get the most out of my breaks and keep me on track. In addition, I have learned from several time management articles that taking breaks can be very helpful. This new tech tip will hopefully help me utilize the information from the articles to the fullest potential.                                                      Essentials for Time Management and Success

Tech Tip: Weather Gadget

I have created a weather gadget. I'm not sure exactly where I want to apply it yet. But I really think it is neat and it's really going to spice up my blog!

Tech Tip: Blogger Profile and Name Display

I have chosen to display my name on my posts.

Tech Tip: Padlet

I seen that Padlet was tech tip while browsing Growth Mindset quotes so I had to give it try. I was actually pleasantly surprised as to how easy it was to navigate because they have online assistance on stand by to chat with. Also, it seems like they've really tried to make posting as simple as possible. (Not that it's on blogger!) But you can also get it from the app store, I downloaded the app. I am seriously considering making a personal site.

Tech Tip: Course Announcements Email List

I have subscribed to course announcement email list. I think this will be really helpful. I always check my email and I've talked many times on how much I appreciate canvas. Further,  I have nothing to add to the technology structure of the course. everything is arranged very well.

Tech Tip: Dashboard

I have always been really fond on the new platform since we transitioned from D2L. Canvas dashboard makes everything show much more accessible. I have configured my dashboard to utilize a to-do list and an upcoming section. Last, I can't think of  anything new that I would like to see. But if something new comes up, I am hopeful to learn about it. I am sure it will be super helpful. Canvas is great!

Tech Tip: Canvas Notifications

I have adjusted my Canvas notifications to all.

Tech Tip: Canvas Profile

I have updated my canvas biography profile and edited my full name. I think that I will upload a picture next.

Tech Tip: Canvas Calendar

I always use the canvas calendar. Back when we were on D2L, it was necessary to use buy a calendar and go through each of your syllabuses to annotate important dates. With canvas, it is so much easier to stay in the know! Also, its not even like you constantly have to log in and check a digital calendar. Everyone I know is already logs into canvas on the daily. And on the side there are calendar reminders which are super helpful. I know that I have benefited from this. In fact, my mother is a Professor at a college in Tulsa. She loves canvas, so I think it easier to navigate for the instructor as well.

Tech Tip: Canvas Mobile App

I was not previously aware of Canvas' Mobile App, however, I am glad that I have it now.
