Tech Tip: Dashboard

I have always been really fond on the new platform since we transitioned from D2L. Canvas dashboard makes everything show much more accessible. I have configured my dashboard to utilize a to-do list and an upcoming section. Last, I can't think of anything new that I would like to see. But if something new comes up, I am hopeful to learn about it. I am sure it will be super helpful. Canvas is great!

I read an article entitled: 11 Ways Unsuccessful People Mismanage Their Time . This article describes how in many way a certain list of bad habits contribute to people's lack of success. I thought this article was very insightful and I learned to stay away from the many pitfalls that could make me unsuccessful. One thing that I knew was that procrastinating was the enemy to success in every measure! That's college 101 and pretty any other goal you may have. One thing that I learned was that people who don't utilize their weekends could be setting themselves up for failure. I thought was interesting, but it makes sense. Reading Notes: Rama Section C

I really enjoyed this telling of Rama in Rama’s quest. I still think that Rama’s heart is in the right place, but I don’t know how I feel about his fight first and ask questions later attitude. In addition, I really enjoy re-telling stories where both parties get to make their case. Usually, not everything is as it seems with the title of villain and hero and/or hero is assigned. Thus, I would want to tell a story Rama, and his brother who knows magic for instance, are just about to kill an ogre when suddenly, the ogre gets to speak his peace. This could be the case for many of the monsters who would be slain by Rama and company. As the story unfolds, it could turn out that these monsters are simply the way that they are due to a higher power than all of them combined. Thus, they are not truly evil, they are just taking orders. As Rama continuously finds this to be case he learns to listen and be better leader. He begins to work with the monster...

Learning Challenge: Empathy

This week I have decided to read an article about empathy for my learning by heart challenge. This is by far my favorite challenge. I love reading and learning new stuff. Getting extra credit for doing something that I think is intriguing is a blast! Anyway, this article lists 10 Reasons To Stop Judging People , hence the title.  After a lot of studying with Exam Krackers for psychology portion of the MCAT, I away a great deal of information concerning the ideas with this article. Thus, this article confirmed my knowledge that one reason to stop judging people is because we are more ALIKE than we are different. We're all human and most of us have very similar desires, simply wanting to be accepted and be happy. One thing that the article lists that I was new to me was to look for basic goodness.
