To begin, I have always been very interested in sleep. I have done a lot of studying on my own and I have learned a great deal in my physiology and psychology courses. One of the most interesting facts that was confirmed through this article was that your brain replays that days events in your mind during REM. Something that I didn't know is that this is believed to "solidly" that days information in a type of memory maintenance. Lastly, this article's main claim is based upon this theory. Cramming without sleep can cost you some of your memory. During sheer memorization, the night before an exam, for instance can be discounted if you don't get enough sleep because of the REM that you will be missing out on. I found this really interesting.
