The Ramayana: A Shortened Modern Prose Version of the Indian Epic: I feel that I would want to begin with this since it is the introduction and I would to build a thorough foundation to expand upon while learning these characters.

Paley. Sita Sings the Blues: From the comments and plot commentary, this piece seems very sincere, yet playful. I think that I would really enjoy this. In addition, I really relate to the use of music. On an unrelated note, the video graphics seem to make it a real fun watch.

A Magician Outwitted: This piece looks to be a real compelling story. It has plenty the ingredients that hold my intrigue in stories of this category: magic, kidnapping, rescue, trickery, disguise and redemption.
